Consultancy services are given about designation of aircraft, engine, APU or component (SFE – Seller Furnished Equipment / SPE – Seller Purchased Equipment / BFE – Buyer Furnished Equipment) technical characteristics. Technical Specification preparation according to the designated technical characteristics and Aircraft, engine, management APU or components selection studies according to the technical specifications prepared by customers or Turkish Technic, is being realized.

Major Modification Embodiement Consultancy Services
Technical support is provided to persons working on aircraft/engine/component in the application  of major modifications related with STC – Supplemental Type Certificate or Service Bulletins. Work flow planning is done, implementation steps monitored and arising problems are solved immediately.

Determining, Following and Analyzing of the Problems Which are Found on the Operations and Maintenance Activities Performed by the Customer

Authority Operation Approvals Consultancy Services
Technical support services are given to obtain required approval from authorities to perform operations such as MNPS (Minimum Navigation Performance Specification), RNP (Required Navigation Performance), RNAV (Area Navigation), RVSM (Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum), ETOPS (Extended Range Twin Operations) and LVO (Low Visibility Operations). This support includes all the steps to obtain approval from authority.

Read-out and Evaluation of Recorded Parameters of Flight Data Recorders
Most of the Flight Data Recorders installed on the aircraft that included in the Turkish capability list, can be downloaded and the flight data, recorded during flight can be listed and analyzed on request. By this service, it is checked if the parameters are recorded correctly and as part of the planned maintenance if the mandatory parameters are within the specified limits. At the end of this service, a check and verification result report is given to the customer. In addition to this services, event investigation and evaluation studies are realized which can also be named as data analyzing service. Because of the nature of the work, secrecy is essential during all these processes.

Technical Drawing Services
The painting templates are prepared for the external painting configurations of customer airlines aircraft using the existing drawings. The aircraft painting drawings detailed according to the customer request, are prepared as being ready to be applied (logo, emblem, etc.) on the aircraft. The necessary technical drawings of the components and parts which belong to the aircraft under maintenance at Turkish Technic Inc. maintenance facilities are prepared. Upon customer request, internal and external warning and caution labels are prepared as stencil or/and as sticker.

Engineering Order Preparation for Customer Requests

Engineering Project Services:
• Cabin Refurbishment:
Turkish Technic is not able to certify the major cabin refurbishment projects at the moment. Turkish Technic is trying to get EASA 21 Subpart J DOA Approval as soon as possible. Turkish Technic carry out all the design works by itself and defines all the details about cabin refurbishment projects, and Turkish Technic takes the required assistance of DOA Company for the certification processes. EX: Turkish Technic Engineering Department manages the project of Turkish Airlines A340-300 aircrafts’ cabin IFE systems and cabin reconfiguration to be able to bring these aircrafts into current technology level together with a DOA company.

Also, Turkish Technic Engineering Department manages the selection of the required materials, control of manufacturing in accordance with aviation rules and customer needs at manufacturers and determination of the design criteria to have more durable and reliable parts.

Thank to this, project is being kept under control considering all the details and Turkish Technic finishes the projects providing the aesthetic, the reliable and the usable cabin interior in accordance with customer needs.

• B737-800 Winglet:
Blended Winglets are modification which increase the value of Next-generation 737 Opeartion, improve fligth performance, reduce the engine maintenance cost, provides environmental benefits and generate fuel saving across the ricing fuel cost nowadays.  Turkish Technic Inc. is an approved mod center of manufacturer APB (Aviation Partner of Boeig) to install blended Winglets on 737-NG Aircarft. Other Winglet benefits are as below;
• % 2-4 fuel saving with associated reduction in pollutant emission,
• improved operation flexibility,
• increased pay-load capability and range,
• positive effect to take-off / landing performance at shorter and have high restriction runways,
• reduced noise level during take-off and approach, and reduced carbon dioxide emission due to lower fuel burn.

• Engineering Support for Military Projects
Peace Eagle Project: Turkish Airlines is assigned to support the B737-700 aircrafts as the platform of the AEW&C for the purpose of training, maintenance, engineering and logistic supply, in accordance with the main contract signed between Boeing and SSM (Undersecretariat for Defence Industries) for the purchase of Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft for the use of Turkish Air Force (TuAF).

Turkish Technic will achieve depot level maintenance capability during Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) period of the AEW&C.

Turkish engineering activities are being improved to involve the maintenance, repair and modification of the military platforms.

With the new capability gained, a robust and effective engineering expertise with design capability is aimed in addition to the existing maintenance, repair and modification skills.
