Non-Destructive Testing

Knowing your responsibility is the key to the quality assurance. Parts inspection via non-destructive testing is an important method to determine if the item involved is airworthy and ready for safe use in the aircraft structure, landing gears or engine hardware.

NDT facility of Maintenance Center has approvals from both national-Turkish DGCA and international-EASA / FAA civil aviation authorities. Furthermore, there is a specially designed radiation exposure room for x-ray radiography located in the workshop certified by Turkish Atomic Energy Association.

Our highly experienced and competent technicians are not only qualified in accordance with EN 4179/AIA-NAS 410 standards, but also have current Level-II certificates for the methods under their responsibility. In order to perform some particular inspections on CFM56-3/-5/-7, CF6-80C2/-80A3, IAE V2500, PW JT8D-15, LF507-1F engines, they are trained and certified by the engine manufacturers. Besides, the workshop is capable of testing a wide range of metallic, composite and glass materials. All on-wing and off-wing inspections are performed with state of art NDT equipment on the following methods;

• Ultrasonic(Including bond test)
• Eddy Current
• Radiography (X-ray only)
• Magnetic Particle
• Fluorescent Penetrant
