Turkey’s first civil aviation institution is established; State Airlines (Devlet Hava Yolları).

1955

Name of State Airlines changed to Turkish Airlines.

1957

Aircraft maintenance operations began at Yesilkoy facilities.

1959

An agreement with Lockheed International has been made for maintenance operations for Turkish Air Force and foreign airline operators.

1960

Technical maintenance shops reached the capacity to implement maintenance, repair and revision work on piston and turboprop aircrafts.

1963

Maintenance workshops has reached the capacity to perform maintenance, repair, alteration and revisions operations on all aspects of body, engine and accessories of the aircraft.

1973

820-1F numbered FAA Ceritificate has been awarded affirming the international standard of our facilities.

1977

First maintenance base opened for service.

1996

Joint Aviation Requirements (JAR) certification acquired from EU Joint Aviation Authority (JAA).

1999

2nd maintenance base with 13.000 m² of closed space and 67.200 m² of additional building section opened for service.

2006

Turkish Technic is established with 100% of its shares belonging to Turkish Airlines.

2009

Turkish Engine Center (TEC), a joint venture with Pratt & Whitney, was established and started providing services in the aircraft engine maintenance sector.

2010

Aviation Maintenance Repair and Modification (HABOM) project was implemented.

Turkish Cabin Interior (TCI), a joint venture with Turkish Aerospace (TAI), was established and started providing services in the aircraft kitchen equipment production sector.

The Turkish Nacelle Center (TNC), a joint venture with Collins Aerospace, was established and started providing services in the maintenance and repair sector of aircraft nacelle systems.

2012

Turkish Seat Industries (TSI), a joint venture with Assan Hanil, was established and started providing services in the aircraft seat manufacturing sector.

2015

Merging with HABOM, Turkish Technic Sabiha Gokcen facilities began operations.

2018

Cornea Aero Systems (Cornea), a joint venture with Havelsan, was established and started providing services in the in-flight entertainment sector.

2019

Istanbul Airport came into service and our company carried out the world's largest airport relocation operation, getting all its facilities at Istanbul Airport ready for operation in one night.

Our line maintenance hangar, the first phase of our Istanbul Airport MRO complex, has been put into service.

2020

The construction of our first base maintenance hangars (C-D) at Istanbul Airport has been completed and our hangars have been put into operation.

2023

Our company’s affiliates TCI, TSI and Cornea were merged under the name of Turkish Cabin Interior (TCI).
